Getting Started
Feb 11th, 2013 by maranuifm
Rationale:
- Radio is an accessible and affordable medium for schools to promote themselves to their community.
- While it’s obvious that radio can be a fun and extracurricular activity to offer students, it is also a powerful tool for the classroom, and a unique way for the school to make and maintain contact with their wider community.
Goals :
- For schools to identify a project and, using an action research model, gather evidence of best practice to enable them to reflect on the process they have undertaken.
- For students to develop enterprising attributes within a variety of authentic contexts.
- For teachers to trial a new and innovative approach using the New Zealand Curriculum to guide their process.
- For local businesses and other community enterprises to share their knowledge and skills with teachers and students.
